UCLA Extension is looking for instructors to teach in the UCLA Medical Assistant Program. Complete program information can be found here.

Medical Assistant Instructors must have 3-5 years’ experience in teaching both clinical and administrative procedures. Must have experience in instruction for the following; phlebotomy, pharmacology, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology, legal law and ethics, medical office procedures, keyboarding, computer applications, medical billing and coding and accounting. Additionally, 5+ years’ experience in the medical field along with the RMA (registered medical assistant) or CMA (certified medical assistant) is required. RNs (registered nurses), LPNs (licensed practical nurses) and individuals with graduate training in allied health will be considered to teach clinically-related courses.


Responsibilities
  • Teach 2-3 courses per quarter
  • Available to teach on evenings and weekends at the Westwood Village (West Los Angeles) location.
  • Prepare lesson plans and all course materials, lecture slides, exams, etc.
  • Grade students' work
  • Complete all required UCLA Extension trainings prior to start of assignment, including Canvas training
  • Under direction of the Program Director and UCLA Extension staff, comply with all UCLA's academic and employee policies
