Description

UCLA Extension’s Entertainment Studies Department is currently accepting applications for an online instructor for the course, Pre-Production and Production for Film and Television. In order to be considered, applicants must have current and/or recent film or television producing credits and have prior experience teaching online. Prior Canvas experience is preferred.

Instructors will develop a syllabus and online course materials in Canvas that cover the topics in the Pre-Production and Production for Film and Television course description:

This survey course presents an overview of the real-world aspects of producing as practiced in the various sectors of filmed entertainment from script development through pre-production and production. Topics include the producer's interface with the writer, director, and other key personnel; pitching and selling ideas; script breakdown and scheduling; budgeting; and all the critical on-the-set issues facing the producer.
